Toronto Downtown West BIA Installs First Outdoor Savestation in Toronto

Toronto Downtown West BIA (TDWBIA) announced Toronto’s First SaveStation located at the base of the CN Tower.

The SaveStation provides 24/7 public access to an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). A lifesaving device used in medical emergencies such as cardiac arrest. Immediate use of AED combined with CPR can increase likelihood of survival by 75% or more. The SaveStation also has a built-in camera that activates each time the cabinet is opened and an alarm to alert others of an emergency.

The SaveStation is a proactive measure for the wellbeing and safety of the public and the millions of visitors annually to this area.

Collaboration between TDWBIA, CN Tower and Action First Aid made this project possible.
