Survey: Help Shape Delivery and Sidewalk Use in Greektown BIA

The City of Toronto, the Toronto Association of Business Improvement Areas (TABIA), and Greektown on the Danforth BIA are inviting residents, visitors, business owners, and delivery riders to share their experiences with micromobility delivery vehicles (e-bikes and scooters) in Greektown.
The survey will help inform how delivery activity is affecting local businesses, sidewalks, streets, customers, pedestrians, cyclists, and delivery riders in order to design a vehicle management pilot in the community.
The survey takes approximately 5–10 minutes to complete. Responses are anonymous.
About the Pilot Project
The Greektown Micromobility Delivery Pilot is exploring practical ways to improve where delivery vehicles park within Greektown on the Danforth.
The project is focused on delivery activity involving bicycles, e-bikes, scooters, and e-scooters used by riders working with platforms such as Uber Eats, DoorDash, and Skip.
As app-based delivery has grown, so has the need to better understand where riders wait, park, pick up orders, and move through the neighbourhood. The project will consider how delivery activity can be managed in a way that supports local businesses while improving safety, accessibility, and the overall experience of the area.
Why We Are Conducting This Survey
People experience delivery activity in different ways.
Many businesses depend on delivery services to reach customers. Delivery riders need safe and convenient places to wait and pick up orders. Residents, visitors, pedestrians, and cyclists may experience concerns related to sidewalk access, parking, congestion, or safety.
The survey will help the project team:
- understand when and where delivery activity is most concentrated;
- identify concerns related to sidewalk access, safety, parking, and loading;
- learn about the experiences of delivery riders and local businesses;
- assess possible locations for designated delivery parking or waiting areas;
- identify priorities that should guide the pilot; and
- gather community suggestions before the pilot is finalized and implemented.
The survey is an important first step.
Who Should Complete the Survey?
We want to hear from anyone who has experience with Greektown on the Danforth, including:
- residents who live in or near the area;
- people who visit, shop, dine, or attend events in Greektown;
- business owners and business representatives;
- employees working in the area;
- delivery riders working with app-based delivery platforms; and
- pedestrians, cyclists, transit users, and drivers travelling through the neighbourhood.
You do not need to be an expert in transportation or delivery services to participate.
How Your Feedback Will Be Used
Survey responses are anonymous and will be reviewed alongside with other project research, observations, stakeholder discussions, and technical analysis.
The findings will help the project team identify challenges, evaluate possible solutions, and inform the design of the delivery pilot.
Individual responses will not be published. Survey results will be summarized and reported in aggregate.
Survey Privacy
Participation is voluntary.
The survey is intended to collect feedback about delivery activity and street use in Greektown on the Danforth BIA. Responses are anonymous unless a participant chooses to provide identifying information in an open comment or business-name field.
Participants are asked to complete the survey only once.

- the City of Toronto;
- the Toronto Association of Business Improvement Areas;
- Greektown on the Danforth BIA; and
- local and industry stakeholders.

Your feedback will help the project team better understand what is working, where challenges exist, and how delivery activity can be managed in a way that supports a safe, accessible, and vibrant main street.
