City of Toronto Launches Red Tape Hotline for Businesses
An interesting opportunity for BIAs and businesses to provide feedback to the City of Toronto regarding any red tape you may have/currently face at the municipal level. Announcement was included in the CultureTO Newsletter.

Submissions are accepted until Sunday, November 30, 2025.
The form will allow business owners to directly report burdensome municipal processes, permitting delays, and duplicative or outdated by-laws. The initiative supports the implementation of the Action Plan for Toronto’s Economy, adopted by City Council in late 2024, which identified regulatory modernization and service streamlining as essential steps in making Toronto a more business-friendly city.
This four-month pilot supports efforts to modernize regulations and streamline services under Toronto’s Economic Action Plan. Businesses are encouraged to share their experiences to help improve how the city works.
