Gerrard India Bazaar is one of Toronto’s oldest BIAs, formed in 1982, and the largest main street marketplace of South Asian goods and services in North America. You don’t have to be south asian to enjoy the attractions of this lively enclave located downtown Toronto along Gerrard Street (E), between Coxwell Ave. and Glenside Ave. Traditional hospitality abounds here, along with a wealth of exotic delights. The Bazaar is known for its vibrant nightlife and many festivals, including the annual summer ‘Festival of South Asia’, as well as celebrating many cultural holidays throughout the year – Vaisakhi, Eid, Diwali, and Christmas. Colourful saris, exquisite fabrics, mouth-watering regional delicacies and delightful dining, dazzling jewellery, traditional musical instruments; all await you at the Gerrard India Bazaar. This is not Our bazaar; it is Your Bazaar. What we are doing here is for the preservation, enhancement and dissemination of the South Asian cultural contribution to Toronto, Canada, and the world.
