Business owners and neighbours in the Dundas West Business Improvement Area are invited to a seminar about rooftop solar and community power.

The talk, titled Power Your Business and Community with Solar, is being given by Robert Wakulat, the program manager of greenTbiz, a program of the Toronto Association of Business Improvement Areas (TABIA).

Wakulat said during the 90-minute presentation he will discuss the benefits, rates of return and costs of rooftop solar projects. Participants will also be instructed on how to undertake a solar site assessment and learn what a community solar project has to offer.

Wakulat said that greenTbiz through TABIA, received funding from Community Energy Partnership Program to offer 18 of these presentations across the City of Toronto.

The seminar takes place Saturday, Nov. 19 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Lula Lounge at 1585 Dundas St. W.

The greenTbiz Program develops and delivers energy and environmental conservation programs that benefit the environment, while improving the bottom line of the businesses and properties within the BIAs, according to its website.
